Just about every recipe calls for something I cant buy locally - fresh red chiles seem to be mandatory for most, then theres stuff like "dried farfalle". It may take 20 minutes to make the meal, but much much longer to shop for the ingredients. This app probably wont be used much in our house.
Some of the ingredients are a bit tricky. A little bit British maybe? But the videos are great. The food is real, simple and yummy. Makes you feel like a great cook! One of the most useful apps Ive purchased. Makes you want to run to the kitchen and get cooking. Cant wait for more.
I was pretty disappointed when I went to the app and it said that it was on sale in Canada for $4.99 and I got charged $7.99 for it... the information stated that the sale price was good until May 3! That is the date that I purchased it.... I just fell if you are going to put apps for sale then honour your price! And it is really nice to know that there is somewhere that you can dispute this! NOT
What a fantastic app. Its completly foolproof...lets just say that my husband is thrilled!
Dissapointing. The app has potential but needs more reciepies. Nothing worse than being directed online. Save your money and just go online first.
Its a good app but there need to be new recipes added occasionally.
More than just a collection of recipes, this app provides some wonderful direction and tips via easy to understand videos and illustrations. In my opinion, buying this app was money well spent.
App runs a little slow and was too expensive, but the recipes and tips are really good.
It works just like it should - I am very impressed - its a great app - well designed and laid out - thanks :-)
As a person just starting out cooking I was very impressed with the design and ease of using the app. I really enjoy putting whole recipes straight onto a shopping list right in the app and the easy to understand "how-to" videos included. My mom, who is a fantastic cook, took one look and exclaimed her amazement. I would recommend this app to anyone, it is awesome.
I loved this app the second i got it and fell more in love with it the more I used it. This app should be a role model for every other cooking app on itunes. It was so well thought out with no detail forgotten. Every step was well discribed with a different picture. Jamie is a wonderful teacher and was able to show that in his wonderfull videos. The recipes really had something for everyone. Weither it be Chicken Cesar Salade or Beautiful Vegetable Jalfrezi. This app teaches essentials for the kitchen and will give you the essential to be a good cook. Well Done Jamie!
The most used app I have downloaded. Great videos on the basics of cooking, helps with all sorts of different culinary delights! Only downfall is typical of all British cooking...need more non-fish dishes. Best cooking app I have used.
Even I am completely inspired to cook after seeing these gorgeously put together creations by someone who is so passionate about food.
The recipes look really good...the step by step with beautiful photography make this 5 stars, even though the 20 minute expectation is not realistic for the few recipes I perused. Really well done, graphics, layout etc wonderful!
WOW WOW! very well done!
Works great. Did the balsamic mush with the rib eye. Miam ! Thanks man cheers !
Good app. Several of the video tutorials, such as knife care and cooking the perfect steak keep freezing (ie. the knife care one stops right after Jamie explains the angle you should have your knife at to sharpen it). Could you possibly release an update to fix these bugs? Thanks.
I think this is a good app to get people cooking which is its intended purpose but if you cook regularly than there isnt much new. If you have a large family as I do the servings only go up to 4 which isnt enough. Like I said great for beginners and great to get people back to healthier eating.
I wasnt particularly impressed with the first recipe Ive tried from it (crab risotto with anise salad); the meal was bland and lacked flavour, I felt that perhaps an ingredient was missing from the recipe. I do, however, love the photos, easy directions, and cooking tips. The ingredient list that allows you to make a shopping list, is inspired. I would love to see them expand the selection of recipes as the app evolves, Ive got my eye on several more to try, but as non meat eaters, and not huge fans of curries, Im not entirely sure this app will be my most go-to source for meal ideas.
